flitting… on … ummm…

…does Beggars Opera count as fiction?

I suppose it does …but it’s not fiction that I enjoy or feel particularly enthusiastic about. That is what I’m reading tonight… I will be SO very glad when I get to the end of it. We’re discussing it in my Textual Transmissions class tomorrow

Beggars Opera by John Gray - feel free to go read it yourself. Me, I like stuff that I don’t have to work so hard to read - bad English major, huh? So I won’t blog about that.

Threepenny Opera…and then we’re moving onto Threepenny Opera, which I like much better. And have finished reading. Actually, I have finished reading almost every novel I need to read for that course now… and for my fiction/nonfiction, as well… just one left in there - of course, it would be the one I need to present on that I have not yet read.

And of course, since I have not yet read it, I can’t blog about that.

The other novel I have read over the last few days is a new one that is not coming out until next February. I received an advance copy so that I could consider it for my research project - and it does indeed fit - but because it says “confidential”, I am not sure about writing a review of it this early… so can’t blog about that either.

So - I guess what I’m saying is that I really don’t have much fiction to blog about right now - but hey - tomorrow is another day :)

Sounds like you are reading pretty much EVERYTHING. I reread “Phantom of the Opera” last month, and I’m working on A ROOM WITH A VIEW for a book club…but it’s pretty boring. I just finished the third FABLEHAVEN book, though, and it was really good (though I suggest reading the first two books first).

Oh, and I checked out Tim Burton’s SWEENEY TODD. Violent but very cool!
