Another blog?
No… not really…. I did sign up for another one today…. but not so much to use as an actual blog.
This one is on blogspot , and is associated with the gmail account I use with Firefox - and Google Adsense and Analytics and Orkut and…well, bunches of stuff.
Mostly I signed up because when I am in Firefox , which I use for Entrecard because of the way cool Entrecard toolbar , and I hit on a blogspot blog that I want to comment on, it irks me if I am already logged into gmail but have to log in using different credentials anyway.
So - when I hit a blogspot blog that I wanted to comment on, in part because Mountain Woman suggested it , I was lazy and just commented using my gmail login.
Which, of course, since I hadn’t set it up to go to a profile or anything, went nowhere.
So….I got engaged in fixing that.
I have been reading Griz ’s new today.com blog about how to make money using adsense … not that I am all that interested in doing that … my today.com blogs pay way better than my non-today/adsense blogs, so I am not inclined to worry too much about those, specifically. But I figure that his tips to make money using adsense are all about bringing traffic to your site … and that I could get into. The number one hint that I took away from my reading is that backlinks = good.
So …. another blog…even if I don’t do much with it other than occassionally post a new article about what I’m doing on my ‘real’ blogs — can’t hurt, right? Right.

You a busy flit.
Yeap, it doesn’t hurt. I’m on my way to create more too. Hehe..
Thanks for the tip about the Entrecard toolbar. I didn’t know there was one.

The Entrecard toolbar does make some difference. Though it’s still limited by the speed of your computer and how much RAM you’ve got, so if you have an old computer (like I do), it doesn’t speed things up all that much. Alas.
I have some blogs at Blogspot too, which I recreated at WordPress because I like that interface better. But I found the same problem when I wanted to comment on a Blogspot blog: for some of them, the only way to do it was to sign in with my Blogger/Google identity, and that just takes people to blogs that haven’t been active for more than a year. Ah well.
I don’t (yet) have any ads on my WordPress blogs (they’re like Today.com; you can’t use ads there, BUT you can transfer them to your own site using WP’s free software, and then you can use ads to your heart’s delight).
Eventually most of those blogs will be on my own site, so I kind of do the reverse to what you’re doing: my Today.com blog is a soft of support for my “real” blogs elsewhere.
I love the toolbar…but yeah, on a slower computer it probably wouldn’t help all that much
I have an old blogspot blog that simply points here as well… that one is associated with my IE gmail account
should have just stuck with one gmail, it would have been simpler… but it does work quite well to have only the one go through to my blackberry and not the other… so which one I use for signing up for stuff depends on whether I want it to go through or not
there are ways of telling blackberry to grab this and not that… but this is easier
I’m very glad I found today.com…. it’s nice to earn money for stuff I enjoy doing… plus there is a strong community forum which is missing from my other blog activities
It’s so frustrating that I can’t get firefox to work because I really could use the help with Entrecard.
I’m doing the same thing as you are. I’ve created a couple of blogs just to write about things that are related to my other today blogs. Backlinks = good. Related topic backlinks = really good especially with Google rumored to do another update.
I am trying a few of Griz’s suggestions. I also signed up for BE too.
Thanks for the tips. Great blogs!
